Multi-sensor. Multi-output.
Complex materials.
More value
in a single pass.
We come after the shredder, the magnet, the eddy current and the optical sorter, on the residual stream they cannot split further. Sensors, AI and robots identify each piece and place it in the output where it is worth the most.

Know it, clean it, or split it.
Improve an existing separation or recover a fraction that is difficult to identify. The configuration starts with the material and the output you need. How the technology works ↗ Watch the 50-second video ↗
Built for metal recycling
Technology engineered for harsh metal-sorting environments.
Built from the ground up for heavy, irregular and highly variable metal streams, not adapted from systems designed to sort paper and plastic bottles.

Real-world material streams.

WEEE and batteries
Shredded electronics, with the batteries nobody wants left in the stream.
Why Matvision
Beyond what cameras can see.
AI is only as powerful as the data its sensors receive. Conventional vision systems rely mainly on surface appearance. Matvision combines advanced material sensing, AI and robotic picking to identify and sort complex streams where colour and shape are not enough.
The material intelligence of sensor-based sorting. The flexibility of robotics.

03 · AI model
Three images, one prediction
The relief, the colour and the X-ray image of each piece are fused into a single input. The AI model reads them together and returns what the piece is, with a confidence score.
05 · Delta robots
Only the marked pieces are picked
A delta robot drops its gripper and takes the piece that does not belong. Purification is not sorting: we remove the few rather than classify the many.
07 · The whole line
Read everything, pick a few.
In their words
Said by the people who know the material.
“What is essential is invisible to the eye, and only multi-sensor solutions such as from Matvision will be capable of sorting products that are becoming more and more complex. By positioning themselves as pioneers in robotic metal sorting techniques, Wallonia’s engineers can look forward to playing a leading role in the development of the circular economy on an international scale.”

Pr. Eric Pirard · GeMMe, University of Liège
“The development and integration of MULTIPICK technology into its business has enabled Groupe COMET to reach a new milestone in the purification of its metal streams. […] We are delighted that Matvision can, in this way, contribute to reducing the sector’s environmental impact and to securing strategic resources in Wallonia, Belgium and Europe.”

Gregory Lewis · R&D Manager, Groupe Comet
“Matvision stands out for the quality of its technical proposal and for a flexibility that is rare in this market. The team did not offer a standard solution. They took the time to understand our needs and adapted their offer to them. The very precise sorting required in our joint project shows that they can meet very specific requests.”

Bruno Gay · B.CIRCLE
“The robotized sorting solutions offered by Matvision are truly avant-garde in the field of recycling. […] Thanks to the various detection technologies, we have seen a significant increase in recovery and purity rates, particularly in the processing of complex waste.”
